Daily Itinerary
Day 1 - September 30 - Cape Liberty, NJ
4:00 PM Departure
This cruise port, the first to be built in New Jersey in 40 years, provides the perfect setting to the beginning or end of any voyage. From the vantage point of the deck, you can look out over the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, the Statue of Liberty, New York Harbor and all of lower Manhattan.
Day 2 - October 1 - At Sea
Enjoy a day at sea aboard Royal Caribbean's Freadom of the Seas.
Day 3 - October 2 - Boston, MA
7:00 AM Arrival / 7:00 PM Departure
There is no better way to get a sense of the Revolutionary struggle that changed our nation’s destiny than with a stroll along Boston’s Freedom Trail. Along the way: Paul Revere House, Old North Church, the Old State House and Faneuil Hall, gathering place of the early revolutionaries. Farther afield: Lexington Green, where the minutemen and redcoats first skirmished, and bewitching Salem.
Day 4 - October 3 - Portland, ME
8:00 AM Arrival / 5:00 PM Departure
A city that is at once historic, quixotic, tinged with worldly Boston, but tangibly “Down East.” Here, restaurants serve up luscious Maine lobster and the Portland Head Light sends
out its brilliant, blinking beam. Nearby is the charming coastal village of Kennebunkport, presidential summer retreat.
Day 5 - October 4 - Bar Harbor, ME
7:00 AM Arrival / 6:00 PM Departure
For much of the year, sunlight touches the United States first at Cadillac Mountain on the Maine Coast. From the granite-slabbed summit, light tiptoes down across the rest of Mount Desert Isle, Acadia National Park, the town of Bar Harbor and then the rest of the country. The raw coastal scenery attracted Hudson River School painters in the 1840s, and their art in turn lured visitors to the area. Lots of them. Before you know it, Bar Harbor was a haven for the East Coast glittering class and bejeweled with grand mansions and immaculate gardens. Cruise visitors can walk the streets of town, relax on the Village Green, or climb Cadillac Mountain. You’ll see that the grandeur abides.
Day 6 - October 5 - At Sea
Enjoy a day at sea aboard Royal Caribbean's Freadom of the Seas.
Day 7 - October 6 - Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
7:00 AM Arrival / 5:00 PM Departure
Halifax was long defined by naval operations. The 18th-century Citadel still stands guard, but today overlooks a thriving city whose restored waterfront features historic architecture, shops, museums, bars, restaurants and more.
Day 8 - October 7 - Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada
11:00 AM Arrival / 10:55 PM Departure
Although famous for the Reversing Rapids at the Bay of Fundy, Saint John is also home to splendid Victorian architecture, quaint shops and a vibrant arts scene. It is also a gateway to New Brunswick’s scenic villages and seascapes.
