Daily Itinerary

Day 1 - September 21 - Boston, MA

6:00 PM Departure

Toting over 400 years of history, Boston is one of the oldest cities in America. Boston cruises allow you to see Revolution-era relics standing tall amid modern cityscapes, and homes where legendary patriots, politicians and poets once lived. Discover cobblestone charm in Beacon Hill and Paul Revere’s midnight route through the North End. Breathe in salty air along the Harborwalk and ride in a swan boat around Boston Public Garden. Whether it’s walking the Freedom Trail, kayaking on the Charles River, or living time-honored baseball traditions at Fenway Park, you’ll come to find Boston is the birthplace of New England adventure.

Day 2 - September 22 - Bar Harbor, ME

7:00 AM Arrival / 6:00 PM Departure

For much of the year, sunlight touches the United States first at Cadillac Mountain on the Maine Coast. From the granite-slabbed summit, light tiptoes down across the rest of Mount Desert Isle, Acadia National Park, the town of Bar Harbor and then the rest of the country. The raw coastal scenery attracted Hudson River School painters in the 1840s, and their art in turn lured visitors to the area - lots of them. Before you know it, Bar Harbor was a haven for the East Coast glittering class and bejeweled with grand mansions and immaculate gardens. Cruise visitors can walk the streets of town, relax on the Village Green, or climb Cadillac Mountain. You’ll see that the grandeur abides.

Day 3 - September 23 - Saint John, NB, Canada

7:00 AM Arrival / 4:00 PM Departure

Although famous for the Reversing Rapids at the Bay of Fundy, Saint John is also home to splendid Victorian architecture, quaint shops and a vibrant arts scene. It is also a gateway to New Brunswick’s scenic villages and seascapes.

Day 4 - September 24 - Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

10:30 AM Arrival / 4:00 PM Departure

Halifax was long defined by naval operations. The 18th-century citadel still stands guard, but today overlooks a thriving city whose restored waterfront features historic architecture, shops, museums, bars, restaurants and more.

Day 5 - September 25 - Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada

8:30 AM Arrival / 2:30 PM Departure

Take walking tours of scenic Nova Scotia, or hop along Sydney’s many preserved sights like the Cape Breton Miners’ Museum or the Cossit House Museum. Sydney is rich with tributes to earlier times and reenactments honoring its rich Celtic heritage. It also has signature foods ranging from fresh seafood to all your pub favorites. Beyond the port town of Sydney, venture out to find hikes and natural excursions for every level of nature lover, from scenic drives along the Cabot Trail, where you can take in 185 miles of Cape Breton Island to challenging hikes at the Cape Breton Highlands National Park.

Day 7 - September 27 - Quebec City, Quebec, Canada

9:00 AM on 9/27 Arrival

Some have called Quebec City the “Paris of America” for its unique blend of French and Anglican influence like no other place in North America. Be embraced by the city’s ease and European charm. Though a population of over half a million isn’t small by any means, Quebec City just happens to feel like your French-Canadian hometown. Winter is welcomed here, where the city glows with string lights and cold weather activities thrive. Quebec City’s tight-knit culture is evident from annual events like the Carnaval de Quebec, and in its passion for preserving historic sites from the 17th century, like Rue du Petit Champlain and the streets of Old Quebec.

A Charlottetown cruise promises picture perfect moments, whether that’s enjoying a pint in a quintessentially Irish pub, strolling alongside the region’s signature white-and-red lighthouses, or cycling the easy, winding trails.

Day 12 - October 2 - Portland, ME

10:00 AM Arrival / 8:00 PM Departure

Portland is a city that is historic, quixotic, tinged with worldly Boston, but also tangibly “Down East.” Here, restaurants serve up luscious Maine lobster and Portland Head Light sends out its brilliant, blinking beam. Nearby is the charming coastal village of Kennebunkport, a presidential summer retreat.
