Daily Itinerary

Day 1 - Departure

Your journey begins when you depart the USA on your overnight international flight from Denver, CO.

Day 2 - Arrival

Welcome to the Holy Land! Upon arrival at the Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel for dinner & a good night’s rest.

Day 3 - Northern Israel

Travel north to Caesarea Philippi, where Jesus traveled with His disciples and where nearby Peter made his great confession to Jesus, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God". You will have the opportunity to meet with the soldiers of Israel Defense Forces from the local Army Base. Next, visit Tel Dan, one of ancient Israel's boundary markers. From Mount Bental, look out over the Damascus Road and the Valley of Tears where a severely outnumbered Israel defense force stopped the Syrian invasion of the Golan Heights in the Yom Kippur War of 1973. Take in a panoramic view of the Sea of Galilee from the Peace Overlook.

Day 4 - Jesus in the Galilee

This morning see the 2,000+ year old ancient fishing boat that was raised from the bottom of the Galilee. Sail across the Sea of Galilee as you share in a time of worship on the water. Enjoy a St. Peter’s Fish Lunch (included) then continue to Capernaum, and explore this city which was the center of Jesus’ ministry in the Galilee. Explore the ruins of the city, including the synagogue which was built over the one in which Jesus ministered. Stand on the Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus gave the Sermon on the Mount. Finally, gather at the River Jordan where you can remember or renew your baptism.

Day 5 - From Sea to Sea

Bid the Sea of Galilee farewell and travel west to Nazareth, the boyhood home of Jesus. Look out over the city from the Mount of Precipice, where an angry crowd attempted to throw Jesus from the cliff. Travel the ancient caravan route to Tel Megiddo, where 20 cities lie superimposed on one another overlooking the Valley of Armageddon. Stand atop Mount Carmel, where Elijah defeated the prophets of ba’al. Next, you’ll arrive at Caesarea Maritima, the coastal city of Herod the Great on the Mediterranean. Explore the extensive ruins, including the Roman aqueduct and theater. Continue to Jerusalem for dinner & overnight.

Day 6 - Qumran, Masada & the Dead Sea

Travel south to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered by a young Bedouin man. Also learn about the mysterious Essenes community that once lived there. Continue to Masada, the spectacular mountaintop fortress of Herod the Great, famous as the last stronghold of the Jewish rebellion against the Romans. Take the cable car to the top and peer down at the Roman camps and siege ramp below. Next, take the opportunity to float in the renowned salt and mineralladen waters of the Dead Sea.

Day 7 - Jerusalem

Start your day atop the Mount of Olives where you can take in a remarkable view of the “Golden City” of Jerusalem. It was from this mount that Jesus ascended to Heaven 40 days after the resurrection. Walk down the Palm Sunday Path, recalling the shouts of “Hosanna!” as you make your way to the Garden of Gethsemane. Pray among the olive trees as Jesus did the night he was betrayed with a kiss. Continue to modern Jerusalem and visit Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust Memorial, with its poignant exhibits honoring the millions of lives lost during the Holocaust.

Day 8 - Jerusalem

On Mount Zion, enter the House of the High Priest Caiaphas where it is believed Jesus was held the night prior to his crucifixion. Pray alongside the Jewish faithful at the Western Wall. Visit the Davidson Center and stand on the Teaching Steps at the Southern Wall Excavations.

Day 9 - Jerusalem

Walk through the Old City and enjoy the preserved, ancient culture found in the narrow streets as well as the modernized Cardo in the Jewish Quarter. Visit the Lithostrotos at the Convent of the Sisters of Zion. This area of pavement constructed with large slabs is associated with the condemnation of Jesus by Pilate. The pavement also has a Roman "King's Game" board carved into it to use for a dice game that recalls the casting of lots for Jesus' clothing after His crucifixion. View the Pool of Bethesda, where Jesus performed the Sabbath miracle. Step into the nearby St. Anne’s Church to lift your voice in song in its wonderfully acoustic sanctuary. Finally, gather at the Garden Tomb to reflect on the agony of the crucifixion and the glory of the resurrection!

Day 10 - Return

Return home with a transformed faith and memories to last lifetime!
