Day 2 - July 2 -Welcome to Tel Aviv, Israel

Welcome to Tel Aviv, Israel! Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in Netanya for dinner and a good night’s rest. Time permitting, we will drive by the Valley of Elah, where David slew the giant Goliath.

Day 3 - July 3 – Caesarea Maritima, Mount Carmel, Megiddo, Nazareth Village, Tiberias

Travel north along the Mediterranean Coast to Caesarea by the Sea. This port city includes extensive remains of the theater and other sites, including a Roman aqueduct along the Mediterranean shore. Turn inland with a stop at Mount Carmel, where Elijah prayed down fire from Heaven and destroyed the prophets of Ba’al. Visit Megiddo and look out over the Valley of Armageddon. Finish your day with a visit to Nazareth Village, a modern-day recreation of village life during the time of Christ. Check into your hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 - July 4 – Caesarea Philippi, Dan, Golan Heights, Capernaum, Mount of Beatitudes

Drive north to Caesarea Philippi where Peter made his confession of faith, identifying Jesus as the Messiah, the Son of the Living God. Nearby, visit Dan where the tribe of Dan settled and where the remains of Jeroboam’s rebellious altar still is standing. Drive through the Golan Heights and have a better understanding of why this area is so important to the security of Israel. Return to the lake for a visit to Capernaum, the center of the Lord’s ministry in Galilee. Stand in the ruins of the synagogue built on the remains of the one where Jesus taught. Also included in today’s plans is the Mount of Beatitudes, remembered by many as the location where the Lord taught Matthew 5-7, the Sermon on the Mount.

Day 5 - July 5 – Boat Ride, Ancient Boat, Fish Lunch, Tabgha, Peter’s Primacy, Kursi, Jordan River Baptismal Site

Enjoy a beautiful boat ride across the Sea of Galilee as you share in a special time of worship on the water. Visit Nof Ginosar Kibbutz where a 2,000-year-old ancient boat is housed dating back to the time of our Lord’s ministry around the lake. After a fish lunch, visit Tabgha, the site of the multiplication of loaves and fish, and Peter’s Primacy, where the Lord appeared to the disciples in Galilee after His resurrection from the dead. Kursi is located on the eastern side of the lake in the country of the Gadarenes, where the demoniac was set free from demons. They were released into a herd of 2,000 pigs, which consequently drowned in the lake. Return to the south side of the lake and gather at the River Jordan, by visiting a very popular baptismal site before returning to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 - July 6 – Jordan Valley, Bet Shean, Gideon’s Spring, Jerusalem, Pool of Bethesda, Church of St. Anne

Say goodbye to Galilee and journey south along the Jordan Valley. Arrive at Bet Shean, the only city of the Decapolis that was located on the western side of the Jordan River. It was also where Saul and his sons’ bodies hung from the city’s gates after their defeat on Mount Gilboa. Also in this area is Gideon’s Spring, where God showed Gideon how to choose his army of 300 men. Drive through the Judean Wilderness to the capital city of Jerusalem. Visit the Pool of Bethesda, where Jesus performed the Sabbath miracle, and sing a worship song in the Church of St Anne, renowned for its beautiful acoustics. Check into our hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 - July 7 – Mount of Olives, Palm Sunday Road, Garden of Gethsemane, Old City, Cardo, Pilate’s Judgment Hall, Via Dolorosa, Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Mount Zion, Caiaphas’ House

Stand on the Mount of Olives. Look over the city from the same view as Jesus would have seen it. Jesus ascended into heaven from the Mount of Olives. Walk down Palm Sunday Road to the Garden of Gethsemane and take time to pray among the olive trees as Jesus did after the Last Supper and before He was arrested. Take a walking tour through the Old City of Jerusalem, and enjoy the preserved ancient culture found in the narrow streets as well as the modernized Cardo in the Jewish Quarter. Visit Herod’s Antonia Fortress, where tradition holds that Jesus was brought before Pontius Pilate known as Pilate’s Judgment Hall. Walk the Via Dolorosa – The Way of the Cross. Remember the Lord’s sacrificial love at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Visit Mount Zion and walk down to the remains of the House of the High Priest Caiaphas, where it is believed Jesus was questioned the night of His betrayal.

Day 8 - July 8 – Jericho (Drive By), Qumran, Masada, Ein Gedi, Dead Sea Swim

Drive by Jericho, where ruins of the ancient city that was conquered by Joshua still remain.Travel further south to Qumran, site of the Dead Sea Scroll discovery, to learn about the mysterious community of the Essenes who once lived on the shores of the Dead Sea. Continue south for a memorable visit to Masada and the Dead Sea. Ascend by cable car to Masada, Herod’s legendary mountaintop fortress, which became the last desperate stronghold of the Jewish Zealots against the Romans. You can still look down on the remains of the Roman camps and the siege ramp below. As we return north, we will stop at Ein Gedi, where David and his men hid from King Saul’s attempt to kill him. End the day with a dip in the salt and mineral-laden waters of the Dead Sea.

Day 9 - July 9 – Temple Mount, Western Wall, Rabbi’s Tunnel, Davidson’s Center, Jerusalem Market

We are up early this morning to have an opportunity to stand on the ancient Temple Mount platform on top of Mount Moriah. Pray alongside the Jewish faithful at the Western Wall, then walk back in time about 2,000 years in the Rabbi’s Tunnel, following the foundations of Herod’s massive temple wall platform. Explore the Davidson’s Center and the Southern Wall Excavations, including the Teaching Steps, where many believe Jesus taught. Enjoy Jerusalem Market and take time to do some shopping in this bustling and vibrant part of the capital city of Jerusalem.

Day 10 - July 10 – Garden Tomb, Gordon’s Calvary, Leisure Afternoon or Visit Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial

This morning, we take time to reflect on the agony of the cross at Gordon’s Calvary and the miraculous reality of the resurrection at the Garden Tomb. You can then choose to enjoy an afternoon of leisure in Jerusalem to relax, visit your favorite sites on your own or prepare for your return trip home. Our planned activity is to visit the moving images of World War II that are preserved at Yad Vashem, the national holocaust memorial and museum. Many options are available to be seen at Yad Vashem, which is a sobering reminder of what happened with the intention of never allowing something like this to happen, again. This evening, we return to our hotel for dinner and an airport transfer for our flight home.
