Daily Itinerary

Day 1 - September 2 – Depart the USA

Embark on the trip of a lifetime today with Bishop Lee Scott.

Day 2 - September 3 – Arrive in Tel Aviv / Dinner & Overnight

You’ll be greeted by our friendly NTS representative upon completion of passport control in Tel Aviv. Transfer to your Tiberias hotel for dinner and a good night’s rest!

Day 3 - September 4 – Galilee / Mount of Beatitudes / Capernaum / Boat Ride / Fish Lunch / Jordan River

Explore the wonders of the Sea of Galilee today. Travel to Capernaum, the center of Jesus’ ministry in Galilee. Stand in the ruins of the synagogue built on the remains of the one where Jesus taught (Matt 4). Visit the peaceful Mount of Beatitudes that overlooks the Sea of Galilee. On this hill, Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount (Matt. 5-7). Enjoy a beautiful boat ride across the Sea of Galilee, followed by a St. Peter’s Fish lunch. Remember your baptism at the Yardenit Baptismal site, where the Jordan River exits the Sea of Galilee on its journey southward (Matthew 3). Return to your hotel for a delicious buffet dinner and overnight.

Day 4 - September 5 – Caesarea Philippi / Tel Dan / Golan Heights

Start your day today by traveling north to Caesarea Philippi, where Jesus traveled with His disciples and where nearby Peter proclaimed, “You are the Christ” in Matthew 16. Continue to one of the ancient boundary markers of Israel, Tel Dan, and view Abraham’s Gate and the alter King Jeroboam built in the north. (1 King 12). Continue on to the Golan Heights. Gain a greater understanding of the strategic importance of this region to the security of Israel. Return to your Tiberias hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 - September 6 – Caesarea Maritima / Tel Megiddo / Nazareth / Mount Precipice

After our delicious buffet breakfast, we will travel to Nazareth, the boyhood home of Jesus (Luke 2), from the top of Mount Precipice. It was here that an angry crowd from the synagogue attempted to throw Jesus off a cliff (Luke 4). View the heights of Mount Carmel, where Elijah defeated the prophets of Baal (1 Kings 18). Visit Tel Megiddo, where twenty different cities lie superimposed upon each other. visit Caesarea by the Sea on the Mediterranean coastline. It was here that Cornelius the Centurion and his household were saved and baptized (Acts 10), and it was also where Paul made his defense before Festus and King Agrippa prior to his final journey to Rome (Acts 25 & 26). head to your hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 - September 7 – Valley of the Shadow / Masada / Qumran / Dead Sea

Pass through the Judean Wilderness, paralleling the ancient Roman road to view the Valley of the Shadow. Travel to Qumran, the site of the Dead Sea Scroll discovery, to discuss the mysterious community of the Essenes who once lived on the shores of the Dead Sea. Continue to travel south along the Dead Sea to the Herodian fortress of Masada. Here, Jewish zealots held out against the Romans encamped below until the walls were breached. In the act of defiance against the anticipated slavery and slaughter, the group committed mass suicide, denying the Romans their “prize.” On the way back to Jerusalem, stop at the Shores of the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on earth, where those who desire may take a quick dip in the Dead Sea. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 - September 8 – Mount of Olives / Palm Sunday Road / Garden of Gethsemane / Bethlehem

Stand on the Mount of Olives as Jesus did and enjoy a remarkable view of the “Golden City” of Jerusalem. Forty days after His resurrection, Jesus ascended into heaven from the Mount of Olives. Walk down the Palm Sunday Road and take some time to pray in the Garden of Gethsemane as Jesus did after the Last Supper and before He was arrested (Matt. 26). In Bethlehem, Gaze out over Shepherds’ Field before returning to Jerusalem.

Day 8 - September 9 – Western Wall / Old City Tour / Garden Tomb

Enjoy the opportunity to say a prayer at the Western Wall. Walk through the Old City and enjoy the preserved, ancient culture found in the narrow streets as well as the modernized Cardo in the Jewish Quarter. Visit Gordon’s Calvary and the Garden Tomb. You will have the opportunity for communion together as you celebrate the glory of the Lord’s Resurrection. Prepare for your journey home with the lifelong memories created during your tour.

Day 9 - September 10 – Depart Tel Aviv / Arrive in the USA
